A telecom equipment distributor in Western Europe approached Tml Industries to co-develop a multifunctional IP terminal for enterprise communication systems. The goal was to integrate voice and video over IP in a compact device suitable for both desktop and wall-mounted installations in commercial and institutional environments.

Tml Industries had to balance compact design with thermal efficiency, integrate hardware and firmware cleanly, meet EU compliance standards, and support customizable low-volume production.

Tml took ownership of the complete product development cycle, working in close coordination with the client’s software team.

Scope of work included:

Hardware design

Embedded system board with VoIP + video codec modules, integrated camera, and speaker array

Firmware coordination

API collaboration with client’s software engineers for endpoint configuration and system controls

Industrial design

Custom tooling for a dual-mount enclosure, with injection-molded parts optimized for airflow and ease of assembly

Prototyping and testing

Initial units produced within 6 weeks and used for compliance and UI testing

Pre-production

Small batch production run of 500 units for controlled rollout in pilot institutions
